Hi. I'm Robbie Carman - colorist, consultant, author and trainer. I'm a co-owner of Amigo Media LLC with my business partner Jason Osder. I've been the senior colorist for hundreds of national broadcast, multi-national corporate, documentaries and features. As a trainer I was one of the first people in the country to be certified by Apple as a Final Cut Pro Instructor and currently hold certifications in all levels of Final Cut Pro, Level 1 Motion, Level 1 DVD Studio Pro, Color, Aperture, and XSAN. I'm also an Adobe Master Trainer for Premiere Pro.
I'm an author having published five books Final Cut Pro Workflows: The Independent Studio Handbook with Jason Osder, Final Cut Studio On The Spot 3rd Edition with Richard Harrington, and Abba Shapiro, Video Made On A Mac: Production and Post Production with Apple Final Cut Studio and Adobe Creative Suite. Apple Pro Training Series DVD Studio Pro 4 3rd Edition with Martin Sitter, Adrian Ramseier, and Richard Harrington and From Still to Motion A Photographers Guide To Creating Video with Your DSLR with Richard Harrington, Matt Gotshalk and Jim Ball. Additionally, I've been the technical editor on three Apple Pro Training series books: Color by David Gross and Michael Wohl and Alexis Van Hurkman's Encyclopedia of Color Correction for Final Cut Pro, and Brendan Boykin's Final Cut Pro 7 Quick Reference Guide.
I speak at major industry conferences including the National Association of Broadcasters, New York Post Production Conference, GV EXPO/Digital Media DC, and Editors Retreat.
I love Macs, home theater, and digital photography and I especially love my daughter Lily who just turned 3!
